A space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what you’re carrying.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating change, therapy can offer a supportive place to explore what’s going on, gently and at your pace.
How I Can Support You…
Life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or heavier than usual, and that’s okay. Many people come to therapy because they need someone to listen, help make sense of feelings, and support them through change. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, chronic illness, trauma, or a sense of feeling stuck, therapy offers a safe place to slow down, be heard, and begin to find clarity at your own pace.
I work with adults looking for understanding, guidance, and practical ways to manage life’s challenges. You might come to therapy if you’re experiencing difficulties in areas such as:
Anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, loss of direction
Bereavement, divorce, relationship or family difficulties, life transitions, women’s issues
The emotional impact of chronic illness or health concerns
ADHS, Autism, behavioural challenges
Working with trauma and abuse
Feeling overwhelmed, numb, or disconnected
Spirituality, personal development, reconnecting with purpose
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal to start; curiosity about yourself and a wish for support are enough.
If you recognise yourself in any of these experiences, therapy could be a helpful step.
What Therapy With Me Is Like…
I’m Sam, a BACP-registered humanistic and integrative psychotherapist. My approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect for your individual experience. I believe meaningful change happens within a trusting relationship where you feel understood and accepted just as you are.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and confidential space where you can explore what matters most to you. Our work is collaborative and shaped around your needs and pace. Sessions may include talking, reflection, and sometimes creative approaches such as using imagery, metaphor, or expression when words alone don’t feel enough.
Key things you can expect from therapy with me:
A calm, accepting environment where you feel safe to speak freely
Gentle support to notice patterns, understand emotional pain, and develop self-awareness
A collaborative approach, shaped around what is most meaningful to you
Flexibility to include creative or reflective tools when they feel helpful
Therapy isn’t about being ‘fixed’. It’s about being met with compassion, gaining insight, and reconnecting with your strengths.
Taking the Next Step
Starting therapy can feel daunting, and it’s okay to take your time. If you’re wondering whether working together might feel right for you, I’d be very happy to hear from you.
I offer a free 15-minute phone call as a chance for us to get to know each other a little, for you to ask any questions, and to see whether I feel like a good fit for what you’re looking for, with no obligation to take things further.
You’re also welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial session or simply explore what support might be helpful for you. You don’t have to carry things on your own, support is available.
